Dragon Egg Quest

I know I said I’d be posting a book review this week, but on Sunday we went to the Kingston Maurward Estate for an egg hunt with a difference.

Gordon used to go to the agricultural college at Kingston Maurward when he was in his teens, and we used to go to their open day events often, but it’s been years since we’ve been.

Gordon and Liam drive past the KM estate regularly on their way to one of their work sites and they spotted the sign for this event; we decided, somewhat last minute, to go and Sunday was the last day.

It was mainly geared towards children, so the clues weren’t difficult at all, but it was lovely walking past the animal park, on the trail and around the lake.

It was basically looking for ten letters placed close by the clues at each egg to spell out the dragon mother’s name, and, at the end, you get a little prize.

We thought it was going to be a chocolate egg or something like that, but it was actually quite nice.

The weather was lovely, here are photos of some of the dragon eggs, the scenery around the trail, and the boys’ prizes at the end.

And the book review will be next week, promise!
