Late Spring Stable Run And A Baby

Nature drive

I know I’ve done a few ‘stable run’ posts already, so how could I possibly have anything new to show? Well, thanks to Liam, I have a short video of part of the route I take.

The number of times I’ve driven past this heathland and never stopped. It borders a busy road but it’s also parallel to a quieter road, which I occasionally take. Last year, alongside major roadworks that were going on, the area around the heathland was opened up and made more accessible. I finally decided to stop and have a closer look but there’s loads more to explore…

There’s been an inundation of babies at the stables – 6 kittens from 2 of the cats. As they’re well-hidden and still quite small, haven’t taken any photos of them yet. This one, on the other hand, is much easier to photograph. I think she’s the second of this year's foals and was born either Tuesday or Wednesday, I can’t remember. She and her mummy were out in the field but were brought in because first-time mummy didn’t know what to make of the ‘sudden’ appearance of this little thing who wouldn’t stop following her! But it’s all fine now and she’s accepted her baby.
