Works in Progress:
The story I’m working on is based on ‘Sleeping Beauty’. Having completed an extensive rewrite after productive discussions with my editor, I’m going through a couple of read-throughs before handing it back to her. I like the new version but, as usual, I’m wondering if I should have done more with certain characters! Looking forward to her verdict but nervous also.
The other fairy-tale retelling I’ve written is inspired by ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’. I’ve worked through a couple of drafts of that already, but when I took a quick look at it recently, it’s obvious it needs a lot more work.
